Update: Ubisoft confirmed its post-launch plans for Far Cry 6, revealing today's leak is indeed true. But it actually gets even better because the season pass comes with Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon too. Cool!
Original story: A Far Cry 6 trailer has leaked ahead of tonight's Ubisoft Forward event that details the sort of DLC fans can expect to play after launch. And after the sort of throwaway expansions previous entries in the series have received, Ubisoft appears to be going big on nostalgia this time around. Footage details what appear to be dream sequences featuring Vaas from Far Cry 3, Pagan Min of Far Cry 4 fame, and Far Cry 5 villain Joseph Seed.
While the trailer in question has been pulled following copyright claims from Ubisoft, Push Square can confirm the contents of it. We have seen what the footage entails, and the three villains in question do indeed feature. An official reveal is likely taking place during the Ubisoft Forward showcase roughly seven hours after the publication of this article. It kicks off at 8pm BST / 12pm PT / 3pm ET, with a lot more game announcements and reveals expected. For more information, check out our E3 2021 Timetable through the link.
Are you looking forward to the return of these villains in the Far Cry 6 DLC? Let us know in the comments below.

Ahh, nostalgia. I would love to play a complete game at launch.
@DrJames Same here but that is over. 😔
Can't wait.
And btw top of em
1. Min
2. Seed
3. Vaas
So that'll be two Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul actors in the game then?
Michael Mando - Vaas Montenegro/Nacho Varga
Giancarlo Esposito - Anton Castillo/Gus Fring
Wow, it's still a few months away yet. And already they are talking about extra dlc you can buy.
I may be a bit different but do enjoy a farcry fps,
So really looking forward to number 6.
I do wish though Sony would make an in-house AAA FPS like the Resistance fall of man and Killzone days.
@YeoSprings I honestly see that as a good thing. If they're selling a deluxe edition bundled with a season pass, you should know what you're buying.
@YeoSprings What rock do you live under? That ship sailed a loooong time ago.
Is the hysterically bad, inexplicable shadow demon from Far Cry New Dawn going to be in this as well?
I'm hoping vaas is my second favourite villian after playing 6.
Far Cry 5 DLC (apart from Far Cry 3 Classic) was IMHO woeful.
Will only buy the base game of 6 this time and see how the DLC fares
I’d love them to do something a little ‘out there’ again like Blood Dragon. My biggest gripe with the Far Cry games is that they’re kinda inoffensive and middle-of-the-road - they’re fun to play in the moment but completely forgettable. I can’t even remember the villain from FC4. Even 5 is a struggle. I’ll give 6 a chance because I do like the gameplay but I wish they’d take more risks with the story to keep things interesting.
I loved Vaas but man oh man was he underutilized in FC3. FC4 is still the pinnacle of the series IMO. Minn was an awesome villain, the Himalayas setting was captivating, and was one of the 1st PS4 open world games to really blow me away visuals wise. FC5 was alright but definitely my least favorite. FC6 looks like it's going back to something like 4 so I'm actually getting pretty excited for 6.
@JAMes-BroWWWn
1. Vaas
2. Min
3. Seed
Could depend on the order you played the games though. Vaas is the OG. The others were trying to recapture Vaas's energy after they say how the audience reacted to him.
What No Far Cry And Far Cry 2 Love
@Flaming_Kaiser @DrJames The solution to that is to not buy games at launch.
You get the complete experience from the moment you start it, and publishers don't get rewarded for launching games in pieces.
Hmm, anything else about the season pass? Ubisoft have been lacking regarding content from previous games, watchdogs legion to be a good example so I'm weary about buying any gold edition from them again 😤😤
Oh how I love the way DLC gets leaked before the base game has even launched. The DLC for Far Cry 5 was total rubbish I won't be making the same mistake with this one.
Pretty sure it’s just the VR game.
Ctr+F 'Jackal'
'Zero results'
C'mon guys.
Last Ubisoft game I purchased was Far Cry 4 before that I brought that atrocious Watch Dogs. Ever since then all the games released after that nothing caught my attention by Ubisoft. From the reviews of past titles over the years I’ve notice from critics/fans is that Ubisoft games are buggy, incomplete, meh storyline, janky gameplay, graphical downgrade after launch, micro transactions in single player & etc. Have no interest in Far Cry 6 but we’ll see after the game launch.
Far Cry 5 is going to be the July PS Plus game
Blood Dragon!!!
Now it just got interesting!!
Does this news about FC6 dlc hint that there is a common link between FC3, 4, 5, & 6 ? Vaas could be fun especially if the FC3 location is used, the same for Min, but l will pass on the creepy weird Seed.
@Dezzy70
I'm still hoping for a Resistance trilogy Remake/Remaster, or even a reboot or just new game on the series.
@LiamCroft Do we have a release date for Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon's remaster?
Also need to know if it will be offered standalone, in addition to the Season Pass.
@Kang81
A new resistance is overdue for me, would great as a PS5 exclusive taking advantage of the hardware.
Why are they talking about DLC when the game isn’t out.
It looked terrible imo. Dream/hallucination stuff in media is a huge pet peeve of mine. Just a bunch sequences that don't matter because it's all a dream or vision. Random stuff occurs just because and everything looks weird. I hate it. This looks like a whole mode of it. No thanks.
Not to mention how much they overestimate how good their antagonists are. Yes, Vaas was excellent. The Tibet moantain guy was okay. The hillbilly was them trying way too hard and just ended being cliché af. It feels like they're trying to gaslight us into believing they're iconic characters people cares about. Sorry Ubisoft, banging on about how great they were doesn't make it so. It's really not a surprise coming from the people that think the final boss of generic protagonists, Aiden Pearce, is an iconic character...
